See INSTALL.txt in the BITS distribution for instructions to build a bootable USB disk or a bootable CD. Note that the BITS distribution includes an .iso disk image usable on either a CD or a USB disk. BITS distributions and .iso images include a snapshot of the corresponding source code, including all dependencies.
